Common Questions About Your Retreat
Everything you need to know about our Innisfallen Island and Laune River experiences
We keep everything intentionally gentle. Most days involve 2–3 hours of guided walking with plenty of rest stops, plus structured meditation sessions by the water. You're never rushed, and there's always time to sit, observe, and simply be present.
Absolutely. We offer adapted routes and can arrange shorter walks with frequent resting spots. Our weir pool sessions don't require walking at all—you're guided to accessible viewing areas where you can meditate and watch the water. Let us know your needs when booking, and we'll tailor the experience.
We keep groups between 6 and 12 people. This size means you get genuine connection without feeling crowded, and our guides can give each person real attention.
Comfortable, layered clothing (Kerry weather changes!), a waterproof jacket, sturdy walking shoes with good grip, and something to sit on if you prefer (we provide mats). Sunscreen and a hat are wise in summer, and bring water to stay hydrated.
Yes. Our heritage sessions include guided storytelling from accessible viewing points on the island shore and nearby resting areas. You'll hear about the monastery, the locals who lived here, and the ecology—all while sitting comfortably with views across the water.
We recommend booking 4–6 weeks ahead so we can arrange transport, prepare personalised notes about your needs, and ensure your preferred dates are available. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible—just get in touch.
